Kindle’s Automatic Updates Rock!

I love my Kindle. And as an author, a feature that is close to my heart is the Automatic Book Updates.
No matter how many times I run my manuscripts by an editor, I’m always finding things we’ve missed. So do beloved readers. A benefit of publishing through Amazon’s KDP is that you can update your manuscripts anytime you want. Once Amazon approves the update and it goes live, all who purchase your content from that moment on get the latest and greatest version.
Those who buy your books on the Kindle platform have an added benefit. When you make a change, their version of your book can automatically update to reflect your fixes.
Here’s how to turn on automatic updates.
If you want your Kindle books to always be up-to-date, there’s a feature you can enable in the Preferences tab of Manage Your Content and Devices. Under the Automatic Book Updates section, as long as your Kindle has a wireless connection enabled, your books will be refreshed with the latest content. This way, you won’t have to worry about manually updating each book individually.
One consideration — Although this feature is convenient, it’s important to note that it may use up battery life more quickly, so you may want to disable it if you’re not near a power source.
